The Oral History project is a joint venture with the Alaska Trappers Association. It is an ongoing effort to capture the stories of Alaska's pioneers who are still with us today.

Youth Shooting League at Rabbit Creek Shooting Park teaches young Alaskans proficient skills that will allow them to compete in sporting clays and enjoy many days a-field in the pursuit of small game. To learn more, go to :

Hunters for the Hungry/Sportsmen Against Hunger is a joint project with the Alaska Chapter of Safari Club International, the Food Bank of Alaska and the Salvation Army. – email: hunterheritagefoundationak@msn.com
Youth Education Summit held each year in April. This program offers students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade a chance to go to Juneau and learn about their state government. Each year one student is chosen from the group to represent Alaska at the National level in Washington D.C. www.nraalaska.com

Small Game Hunting Clinics for youth, especially those youth who may not be in a position to experience this kind of outdoor activity otherwise. Pass It On! matches mentors with youth to provide them with experiences in the outdoors. This is a new program that is being initiated by the HHFA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, ADF&G, and several outdoor groups.

New this year is our camp for youth. The Alaska Conservation Camp will provide a comprehensive learning experience for Alaska’s youth. Held in late May, the camp is also supported by ADF&G and AIMCOMM. To learn more, email the Hunter Heritage Foundation.
